I got my wife’s ring at Diamond Brokers of Florida:http://www.dbof.com/http://www.diamondring.com/forums/forumd…
Or you could check out these other online sources:
    http://www.WhiteFlash.com
    http://www.GoodOldGold.com
    http://www.ExcelDiamonds.com
    http://www.BlueNile.com
Blue Nile’s database is good, but they don’t provide you with photos or analysis reports of the diamond. I wouldn’t go with them for that reason.
    Happy hunting.

There isn’t one shop that will always have the best price. Some specialize in a certain clarity grade range, color range, size, shape, or other specific area.
Depending on what you’re looking for, yes, Walmart, eBay, Craig’s List, and even second-hand jewelry stores like “I Do Now I Don’t” are good places to look. Another smart thing to do is use a diamond search engine, like http://www.diamondpriceguru.com/ or Price Scope–they each search the inventory data for about 10 different retailers. So, you pick a shape, carat weight range, color range, clarity range, etc. You can even set a price limit. The sites don’t ask for your personal information, so you can play around with comfort. The Diamond Price Guru site checks prices for you at places like Blue Nile, Mondera, James Allen, Amazon.com, etc. So, you can be pretty certain you’re getting the best price available.
    I hope this helps.

My husband bought my wedding band and engagement ring together in a set for about $1100. They’re white gold, and the engagement ring has a half carat diamond, with 5 sidestones on each side. I absolutely love it! Kohls and other retail stores would probably have good prices too.
EDIT: Oops, I guess it probably be helpful if I told you where we got my ring! We got it at JCPenney.

my fiance bought mine at kays they have lots of great deals and really work with you if you buy all 3 rings at the same time. i didnt get the huge rock (we’re both fresh out of school with not so great jobs) but they told us we could get an upgrade later on just paying the difference, which we plan to do when things get better (financially)

kays…great warranty and if you ever want to upgrade you can trade your ring in for what you paid for it towards another one

    Wal-Marthttp://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.g…
Save your money on the ring and spend it it wisely on a place to live! …or hell, blow it on the wedding!

I went to Kay Jewelers for my fiances engagement ring. I managed to talk them down $300 from their asking price and the ring is great!

Not in a mall, got to a reputable jewelry like Shane Co., Zales, D geller and sons etc.

Well, not Cartier or Tiffany’s, obviously, but most high street jewellers have a wide range of prices. My ring cost £145.
