My brother-in-law is getting married!
My husband will be the best man, and he’ll be wearing a tuxedo. It’s an afternoon June wedding in a church. I want to look like the date of a man in a tuxedo, but to complicate matters, I’m at a fairly bulgy stage of being pregnant, so I’m afraid I won’t have a lot of options for dresses. I’m also going to another wedding just a couple of weeks before that wedding (similar venue but no tuxedo for my date), so I’d prefer not to get multiple dresses, if the same one could be appropriate. Do you have any suggestions for colors, lengths, etc? Could I wear a skirt with a flowered top, or a different sort of top? I’d appreciate any thoughts. I’m trying to prepare myself to shop this weekend. Thank you!
What Should I Wear To The Wedding?

A knee-length maternity dress in a solid color is a great foundation, because it can look either very formal or casual depending on how you accessorize it.
Avoid white or black. Blue and green are good options bc you can wear them no matter what the season (so you can wear it again if you are ever pregnant with an approaching wedding). Watch the neckline. Sometimes womens breasts grow/swell during pregnancy as the result of hormones and weight gain, so what would have been an appropriate neckline before you were pregnant may no longer be when you’re a month away from delivery.
A mother-to-be is a beautiful sight. Congratulations on your upcoming bundle of joy! A great blessing, indeed.
I would get a nice sheath dress in a navy, green,or grey.

Dress it up with some low heels and jewelry. You’ll look great!
EDIT: Why the thumbs down? Sheesh.
Something black is always good whether you are pregnant or not. Good Luck.
Since your husband is in a tux and it is an afternoon wedding it would suggest that the wedding is quite formal. That usually means a full length gown for the ladies. Also, being in a church would generally require a more formal attire as well as being covered up. I would choose something like any of these dresses and add a lovely little bolero top as well (just to cover the shoulders for the church- and keep you warm if it gets a bit chilly)http://www.apeainthepod.com/Product.asp?…http://www.apeainthepod.com/Product.asp?…http://www.apeainthepod.com/Product.asp?…http://www.apeainthepod.com/Product.asp?…
And try and choose a colour other than black – or add colour to a black dress if you must wear one. Black is just so common nowadays and I think it is too depressing for a wedding. Don’t be scared of colour!
