i got married 2003 civilly.but my husband and i never use in any of our papers our civil wedding date,like we never change our civil status, use my husband surname after our civil wedding when we filled-up papers in our work.but after five years my husband,2008, my husband and i got married in church. now we want to use in our papers in work and in any legal papers our church wedding date.in addition i already want to use my husband surname.what do u have to do?when i try to get a copy of ny marriage contract from NSO, it shows there the date of ny civil wedding not the church wedding date which i now want to use in my papers.i want to use my church wedding date instead of the civil wedding date. i want my church wedding date to appear or be used on my marriage contract filled at NSO.What steps should i take?help!
