What Is A Good Font To Use For A Church Wedding Ceremony Booklet ?

I’d like something classic for our wedding running order. Times New Roman just doesn’t look right…

    I recommend “Edwardian Script”
It’s very classical and aside from that… Edwardian scripts is really used for font type even from the weddings of princes and princess of renaisance period.

Don’t use Times New Roman – that’s a default and shows you put no consideration into the typesetting of the booklet.
Edwardian Script was not used by princes and princesses in the Renaissance. That’s the most hilarious thing I’ve heard all day. Edwardian Script was designed by a contemporary type designer named Ed Benguait and is modeled after the handwriting produced with steel-point pen (18th and 19th centuries). It’s called Edwardian because the guy’s name is Ed and it’s a humorous association. Renaissance scripts were produced with a calligraphy stylus or brush.
You should also never set paragraphs of text in Edwardian Script. Depending on what your tastes are, a simple serif font works perfectly well for booklets. (Just use something better than Times New Roman!)
Some quality fonts include Caslon, Jenson, and Garamond. They are available through Adobe and come in a variety of weights and styles (i.e. real italics — not the fake italics that Microsoft Work forces upon poor, unsuspecting typefaces).
If you like script typefaces, save them for headlines or the cover. Use a serif for the body of the booklet.
